Library
The Writers Place has a library dedicated to being a repository for the literary work of local and regional authors as well as a reference resource for members of The Writers Place.
The collection at The Writers Place contains: (a) material by and about local and regional writers and artists from Kansas and Missouri, and (b) literary journals and books published in the Midwest and the North Central states (KS-MO-IA-NE-IL-AR-IN-OK-MN-WI).
Donations to the library are always appreciated but should fall within the scope of our collection.
Members are welcome to peruse the following in our library:
- Works by and about local and regional authors and artists.
- Works on literary criticism and writing technique.
- Journals published in the Midwest and North Central states.
- Brochures of local and regional authors and artists.
- Chapbooks by local and regional writers.
- Audio/visual items of writers reading their own work.
- Reference books on writing, such as dictionaries, thesauruses, and compendia of writing resources.
