A few weeks ago, we ran a survey about The Writers Place.
· "The Writers Place provides a unique and exceptional venue for both writers and lovers of good writing. Very few cities have such a wonderful place to hear and get to know established writers, hear new voices, and the opportunity to participate in workshops to explore and develop one's own writing skills."
· “We regard The Writers Place and the U.A. Poetry Center in Tucson as among the half dozen best writers centers in the U.S.”
But we also heard:
· “The current atmosphere feels somewhat cliquish and regional with many of the same names popping up. . . .”
· “There is VERY little diversity at the Writer's Place. It doesn't feel as if the organization is trying to be open and welcoming to the community at large.”
Help us involve more people. We want to hear more from you—both positive and negative.
