When We're Home

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, SAFEHOME’s When We’re Home is a collection of true stories of domestic violence in the Kansas City metro.

In 2014, local survivors were interviewed about their experiences with domestic and intimate partner violence, the impact it had on their lives, and their unique stories of healing. The survivors’ real words are presented by local actors, with an expert panel immediately following the performance.

Scripted by Monica Phinney. In partnership with kcCAVE (Kansas City Coalition of Anti Violence Educators).
