Wayne Courtois lives in Kansas City, Missouri. A graduate of the MFA Program at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, he is author of the memoir A Report from Winter, as well as the novels My Name Is Rand, Tales My Body Told Me, and In the Time of Solution 9. His fiction, poetry, and nonfiction have appeared in numerous journals, most recently Chelsea Station Magazine; Assaracus: A Journal of Gay Poetry; Jonathan; and I-70 Review. His poetry is also included in the anthology Hibernation and Other Poems by Gay Bards.
Charles Ferruzza is one of Kansas City’s popular celebrities whether he’s writing, advocating, supporting, critiquing, hosting, reviewing or baking. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a graduate of both Butler University in Journalism and the National Bartending School of Exotic Cocktails. He moved to Kansas City in 1984 and has been here ever since, and now Kansas City claims him as their own. He is the former features editor of the Sun Newspapers for 16 years and served as a staff writer for The Pitch, and is currently a food critic on NPR and hosts his own show on KKFI. In his spare time, he contemplates writing a novel, producing a memoir but bakes something instead.
