Ready, Set, Read This Before You Submit

The Writers Place is excited that you are considering applying to our Script-in-Hand contest-but before you do, please review the following guidelines. Submissions that don’t meet these criteria risk disqualification.

Submissions must:

*Run approximately ten minutes long

*Include a cover sheet with the play’s title, author’s name, and contact information

*Use a standard play format. Example here.

*Be submitted as a PDF or Word Document

*Include numbered pages

*Include a synopsis

*Use 12pt Times Roman or Courier font (preferred)

A note on production. This is a staged reading, so minimizing casts, sets, props and lighting requirements will work in your favor.
